Photography fascinated me from the beginning because it allowed me to capture fleeting moment - simply through observation, light, shadow, and the subject in front of me. What intrigues me most is that while there are countless ways to describe a scene with words, the visual adds another dimension of understanding - one that can only be experienced through seeing.

Back then, I felt a deep restlessness that pushed me to leave my small village in Germany and venture into the unknown. I wanted to explore, to collect impressions, to document what I discovered. I was fortunate to be able to finance small trips during my studies - at a time when that was still possible. I often lived out of a backpack, saved little, and simply followed an inner voice that kept pulling me toward travel and photography.

These experiences have shaped me to this day. I learned to look closely. In my photographs, people and nature often appear in isolated, contemplative settings. I waited for the right moment, hoping to capture something I could keep forever. In those moments, I was fully present - in a creative flow, free to choose the frame, the composition, the atmosphere.

And yet I know: no photograph can truly capture the full reality of a moment. Light shifts, colors change, time moves on. But each of my images carries a trace of my inner world. Through them, I tell stories - shaped by a search for beauty, for meaning, for that certain something hidden in quiet scenes.

This is my visual vision: to show a world that is often overlooked, full of depth, stillness, and a longing for what truly matters.

As I continue to refine the kind of story I want to tell through my images, I find myself drawn more deeply into the journey of self-exploration. Personally, I am increasingly interested in the theme of identity and the differences - and connections - between cultures. Being German-Filipino, I’m currently in the process of reconnecting with my roots. In particular, the Filipino side of my heritage is a part of me that I haven’t fully explored yet, and I want to understand what the history of the Philippines means to me on a deeper level.  I’m currently working on this life-time project and will soon be able to display my images.
